Q: Do I need to be a member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church to join?
A: Absolutely not. Although sponsored by St. Andrew’s Church, all youth are welcome regardless of church affiliation.
Q: My son is older. Can he still join? Will he feel left behind?
A: Older youth are very welcome. The Cub Scout Trail is designed to incorporate youth at any age and feel welcome.
Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards. These opportunities not only help them when they are young, but carry forward into adulthood. The skills they learn in Scouting help them overcome obstacles and challenges with character, fortitude, and a sense of purpose throughout their lives.
Such a mission, however, does not necessitate an arduous path. At Pack 89, we pride ourselves on leading our youth on not only a fun, but also rewarding journey. We hope the boys will reflect fondly on their scouting years, as many of the Pack 89 adult leaders reflect upon their youth as Scouts.

Cub Scout Pack 89 would like to invite parents and their boys that are interested in Scouting to join us for one of our Pack meetings. This is a great opportunity to learn more about scouting and answer any questions you may have.
The Pack typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM in Sanctuary Room 204 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi. Calendar of Events & Meetings
